Terrorists are vandals of modern times. If there would be no police and army to protect us, many landmarks such as Eifel tower, Big Ben, ancient treasures of architecture and art would have been destroyed by now. This is just because a hanfull of idiots want to attract attention of the world to themselves. To attract attention.. That also tells what would be the obvious way to minimize damage caused by them --- there should be absolutely no reporting of their activities bejond the need of warning the local population. The whole world has absolutely no interest in knowing that a train has exploded here or that there was sucide attack there, its not more interesting than reporting homicide. For those interested statistics and details should be readily available -- that is all. Not in the evening news and not in the headlines. In our age journalists are the 5th column, the eager helpers of the new Herostratus. Just for the sake of earning more money, covering themselves with the banner of free speech they help to destroy our civilization piece by piece. Something has to be done.

We should realize that terrorism is boring, statistically poses insignificant risk and thus we should cut disproportionate reporting and hype.

P.S. Terrorst threats are also well used to manipulate the public by big players which have their covert interest (power, oil, etc). We should stop to be idiots ourselves.
